Asia Cup 2018 Schedule | Fixture | Time Table

The International Cricket Council has released the Asia Cup 2018 Schedule, which is set to take place from 15th September. This will be the 14th Edition of this tournament and the participants are divided into two groups.

Originally, the tournament was set to be held in India, but because of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, the venue was shifted to U.A.E. However, all the matches will be held at Dubai and Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadiums.

Team India has been the most successful side in number of titles won, the blue team has claimed the title for six times. Sri Lanka is the second successful team to win the title for five times. While, the Green Team has only grabbed the tournament for two terms.

Group A will be consisted of the two arch rivals India and Pakistan, while the third team has yet to qualify for the Asia Cup. UAE, Singapore, Oman, Nepal, Malaysia and Hong Kong will race for the third spot in the Group A.

On the other hand, Group B comprises of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. The top two teams from the each group will enter the Super-four stage.

The top two teams will then battle for the title in the final match of Asia Cup 2018 to decide the Champions. The Defending Champion India will meet their longtime foe, Pakistan on 19th September.

Though, all the matches in Asia Cup 2018 will be jam-packed with cricket spectators, but India vs Pakistan will be the hot battle. The two rivals will battle after the final of Champions Trophy 2018, when Pakistan knocked the Indian side with 180 runs.

Al the matches are scheduled to be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadiums. Dubai Cricket Stadium is a multipurpose sports complex which has the seating capacity of 25000 cricket spectators. Abu Dhabi cricket stadium is also known as Sheikh Zayed Stadium and it has the capacity to hold 20000 cricket viewers.

Team India will be led by Virat Kohli, who has commanded India after the resignation of MS Dhoni. While, Pakistan team will march forward under the leadership of Sarfraz Ahmed, who has took the green team to the new levels of good performance.

With all that said, let’s wait for the Asia Cup to begin and watch how the Asian Teams will take on each other in the tournament.

September 23 : Afghanistan vs Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi.

September 26: Pakistan vs Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi.

September 28: Final (Top two teams at end of Super Four stage) in Dubai
